However, the Commission has to point out that in spite of this progress, a lot still needs to be done to accommodate people living with disabilities.

The South African Human Rights Commission held a meeting on Friday morning with the residents of Lenasia and other interested parties that included the SA Communist Party, the Congress of South African Trade Unions, and SA National Civic Organisation as part of its engagements with stakeholders in its investigation into the demolition of houses in Lenasia, south of Johannesburg, by the Gauteng Department of Housing.
