    Media Advisory: SAHRC Mpumalanga Office hosts a Media Stakeholder Engagement

    The South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) is an institution established and mandated by the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1996 (the Constitution) to promote, respect for, protection of, and observation of human rights.

    In the process of discharging its mandate, the Commission has identified several focus areas, inter alia, conducting media stakeholder engagements, briefings and newsroom visits in the effort to enhance its visibility.

    To this end, the Commission in Mpumalanga will be conducting a media stakeholder engagement to share its initiatives, key achievements, challenges and highlight the impact of its work on promoting, protecting and monitoring of human rights during the 2024/25 financial year, Furthermore, the engagement shall serve as a platform for deliberating on how the media can continue to support the work of the Commission. The engagement will take place on
