Media Advisory: SAHRC KZN Provincial Office invitation to attend a media stakeholder engagement

The South African Human Rights Commission’s (SAHRC/the Commission) KwaZulu Natal Provincial Office invites the media to attend the Commission’s media stakeholder engagement in KwaZulu Natal.

The purpose of the media stakeholder engagement is to develop strategic partnerships and strengthen working relations between the media and the Commission. The engagement will further focus on exploring challenges facing the media in human rights reporting and to engage on how the media can become more involved in reporting human rights violations.

The Commission will also use the media stakeholder engagement to interact with the media on the general state of human rights in the province, the work of the Commission in advancing human rights and how collaborations with media houses can assist the Commission to deliver on its mandate to promote, protect and monitor human right in KwaZulu Natal.
