The South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC/ the Commission) in the Northern Cape Province will be conducting a Social Harmony through National Effort (SHiNE) initiative.

The SHiNE initiative aims to promote social harmony and understanding among the diverse communities in the country, recognising the importance of dialogue, compassion, and mutual respect. This is an important initiative to address the historical challenges of colonisation and apartheid, working towards aligning the nation's culture with its Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

The event is scheduled to take place as follows:

  • Time :    09:00 am to 15:00
  • Venue: Northern Cape Rural Technical and Vocational Education
    Training College, Upington

Through engagement with educational institutions, the Commission seeks to empower students and educators with the knowledge and tools necessary to foster inclusivity, equality, and diversity within learning environments and the broader society.
