Attention: Editors and Reporters

Thursday, 06 June 2024

After releasing its KwaZulu Natal Water Inquiry Report in September 2023, the South African Rights Commission (Commission) is visiting District Municipalities to monitor progress on the implementation of its recommendations, and to assess the state of human rights in the respective region.

The Commission will meet with the uMzinyathi District council, and civil society groups, and will conduct site visits across the local municipalities in the District.

The Commission is calling on NGOs/ Civil Society Organisations in the uMzinyathi District Municipality to engage with the Commission to discuss the state of human rights in the District and Province.
