The main purpose of the discussion is to share programmes and to explore opportunities for collaboration amongst the mainstream media, Constitutional Institutions and communicators from local and provincial government departments, with the aim of developing strategies to empower communities with knowledge and enable the public at large to enjoy the right to access information as enshrined in section 32 of the Constitution, 1996.
