Media Statement: Investigative interviews on the Status of Health Facilities in Limpopo Province

The South African Human Rights Commission (Limpopo Provincial Office) will be conducting investigation into the status of Public Health Care facilities in the Limpopo Province. The process will commence on 03rd to 05th July 2018 at the SAHRC Office.

Chief Executive Officers (CEO) of different Hospitals in Limpopo will be interviewed to provide responses to concerns which have been raised by members of the public and the Commission during inspection of the Hospitals.

On the 5th of July 2018 the Head of Department (HoD) will also be interviewed by the Commission in order to provide responses to concerns already raised, as well as challenges highlighted during the inspection.

The Commission is extremely concerned with the status of service delivery to members of the public seeking assistance from Public Health Care Facilities and aims to investigate the causes thereof and interventions required to prevent further violations of human rights within the province.
