Media Advisory: SAHRC in Limpopo to conduct Human Rights Stakeholder Engagements aimed at curbing tribalism in Limpopo

The South African Human Rights Commission (“the Commission”) in Limpopo Provincial Office will be conducting monitoring in places of detention and stakeholder engagements aimed at curbing tribalism in Limpopo, Vhembe District Municipality.

The Commission has identified and taken the initiative to hold these intuitive discussions with community leaders in the province, as they form a strong backbone of the province's socio -political landscape and general influence. Traditional and religious leaders play pivotal role in advancing human rights and uniting various communities.

The engagements and discussions aim to promote and sustain the culture of human rights and social cohesion, to curb tribalism within the Limpopo province and strengthen the realization of human rights in the province.

The engagements will be held as follows:
