Health inquiry oral hearings concluded
Health is a fundamental human right indispensable for the exercise of other human rights. Every human being is entitled to the enjoyment of the highest standard of health conducive to living a life in dignity
The South African Human Rights Commission's public inquiry into health care services concluded the open hearings phase on 1 June 2007. The Commission put together a programme that created space for all who needed to be heard, on the right of everyone to access health care services as provided for in the Bill of Rights.
