South African Human Rights Commission

Annual Report Launch

The South African Human Rights Commission would like to extend an invitation to you to attend the launch of its Fifth Annual Report. The report is a comprehensive document that reflects the priorities and activities of the Commission for the period January 2000 to March 2001. Since its establishment in 1995 the SAHRC has grown into a reputable human rights monitoring organisation in the South African Constitutional order. In order to fulfill its constitutional mandate to promote, protect and monitor human rights in our country, the Commission has embarked on a wide range of interventions and projects that have reached a large section of the South African population. This report provides a comprehensive overview of such projects, plans and procedures and the launch will provide you with an opportunity to interrogate the report.
