Media Advisory: Disability and Human Rights

The South African Human Rights Commission is hosting a two-day workshop on Disability and Human Rights. The workshop in Cape Town at Days Inn Hotel on 25, 26 July 2001 The workshop aims to disseminate information about the human, constitutional and developing legal rights of people with disabilities in order to increase awareness around these issues. Furthermore the Human Rights Commission also seeks to encourage a rights based approach towards disability in order to empower organisations that work with people who have disabilities
